Training

Improving computer access and computer skills in our community

You can come anytime to the Marton Hub on a Thursday for one-on-one training with Angela.

Angela is also tutor for a 10 week basic computer training course at Nga Wairiki Ngati Apa’s Henderson’s Line, Marton campus. It’s a UCOL Adult Community Education (ACE) Course, so free of charge for New Zealanders.
You are in a small group setting with a refreshment break half way through each 2 hour session.

Update and Refresh

We don’t have the amazing feel-good graduations as we did with the Computer’s in Homes programme (see old videos of those) but use the same curriculum which
includes creating and using gmail, google contacts and google searches of the internet.

There is internet safety and security, social media, Youtube, cloud computing, Word and Excel, technical issues, the world wide web and much more, depending on individual interest. You will get to learn, update or refresh the essential computer skills needed to get connected, take on tertiary study, or get ahead in your job.
