As predicted, WIMAX looks to be a serious challenger to the current national carrier. The latest reports are about regional companies trialling the WIMAX technology joining forces to cerate a nationwide WIMAX network.
If they can all agree on interconnect agreements, then this could be a major step in the right direction.
Meanwhile, Telecom has announced it will raise prices locally for line rental, that could generate an extra $40 million.
